2009 CD Calendar

Well, I finally got this year's CD calendar finished, but I must confess, I had to cheat this year. I did not actually make a single page of this calendar myself. They are all quick pages. Note the December photo is from last year, not this year. Need to save this year's photos for next year's calendar, which I hope to have done *before* Christmas next year.

I also made calendars for a couple other folks, using their photos. I won't show you all of them, since I just popped different pictures into the same layouts you see above. However, the March layout didn't work for anyone but Luke, so I created two different March ones for the intended recipients (didn't use the St. Patrick's one for BIL and his wife because they got married in March, so how could I not do a special wedding themed layout?!). I found a great picture of Georgia for Leah's June page, but it didn't really work for wedding photos (their calendar is all wedding photos), so I also created a new June page for them. You can see those below:

    Cupacake

    Cupacake
  • Journaling: "We were on our way to Walt Disney World, and we stopped to eat at Golden Corral. Daddy decided to get a cupcake from the dessert bar, and you insisted on trying it. You, the child who screamed and cried about cake and icing at your birthdays. But for some reason, being in a different form, that of a "cup-a-cake" as you still insist on calling them, made all the difference. You still didn't want to touch it with your hands, but you sure cleaned the top of icing and sprinkles quite efficiently, and you made remarkably little mess, all things considered. -March 2007"

    Beautiful

Sometimes, I am literally moved to tears, just by looking at my son. I wanted to scrap some of my favorite photos all in one place to try and capture those moments.

    Disney 2007 - Castle

Okay, okay, I can't take the guilt! I whipped this up, just to have something to show from our trip. Scroll down for the sale bargains I've found this week (no affiliation, just a happy customer).

And if you are really desperate for more Disney pictures, you can either read my trip write up at my regular blog (link to Chapter 1), or you can check out my Webshots album (containing 120 of the almost 600 photos we took).

    Christmas Joy

You should all be very proud of me for overlapping the letters like that. It is so hard for me to do! Not difficult from a technique perspective, just hard to make myself not line them up straight and perfect and even. I'm trying to get better about things like that.

    The Thanksgiving Lemon?

    The Thanksgiving Lemon?
Journaling: "The Thanksgiving Lemon? - You were so funny. Nana's friend Judith had given her some lemons for Thanksgiving. Nana brought them home to serve as a centerpiece. She had them arranged in a bowl on the dining room table. And as soon as you saw them, you absolutely had to have one. We didn't know why, but we gave you one anyway. And you carried it around all weekend. It even had to go to Waycross to visit your great-grandfather, though we did manage to convince you to leave it in the car. It was battered and bruised by the end of the weekend, but it made the trip back to Atlanta, where it later disappeared."
